After completing the layout markup, adjusting margins, and setting up headers and footers, the service will begin formatting your book.

This process consists of two stages:

1. Preliminary formatting – the first few spreads of your book are generated. This allows you to check that all layout settings are correct before proceeding. This step is important because book sizes can range from 10–20 pages to several thousand, and formatting speed depends on the book’s volume.

2. Full formatting – if you are satisfied with the preview, click "Layout the book" in the bottom right corner. The service will then proceed with formatting the entire book.

How to download the prepared layout?

After the end of the layout making, you will receive an email with a link for download. You can also upload the archive with prepared files on the project page.

Hover over the "download" sign on the project card and select one of the formats:

• InDesign work files (.indd)
• Preview file (.pdf)
• File for printing (.pdf)
• All formats in one archive (.zip)

How to make changes to the layout?

Select the project you want to edit on the project page and click the "Edit" sign on its card. As a part of your free layout edit, you can make the following changes:

• Modifications of text styles.
• Margin and footer settings.
• Edition of output data.

If your corrections include changing the format of the book or making changes to the original manuscript that exceed 10% of its length, you will need to pay for the layout process again.
