Title page

The first few pages of a book or any other issue that comprise information about the publication itself. These pages include the publisher's imprint such as the book heading, the authors’ names, the publisher and the year of publication. Sometimes the title page can be spread over two adjacent pages to make a "double-page title page". If the text on the title page is placed one side continuing on the other without duplications, it makes a "double-spread title page". The title page of an article in journals and compilations is also called the "first page", on which the article heading as well as the information about the authors are distinguished.
