Reference

A part of the text in a book or any other publication that points to another source where additional information about the topic under discussion in the main text may be found. The link may be placed inside the text, in a footnote at the bottom of the page, or in the bibliographic list at the end of the book. It helps the reader to find more detailed information on the exact theme. The references may also be used to link different parts of the text if they contain interrelated information.
