Monograph
A publication that forms a deep and comprehensive study of an exact problem or topic and may belong to one or more authors. The distinctive feature of the monograph is an integrality of the work, accompanied with the general introduction and conclusion, which summarizes the results of the study.
Sometimes people call a collection of materials on one topic a collective monograph, but this is the wrong way. It is important to distinguish a monograph from a collection by the fact that the monograph has a single internal structure and one common idea, while a collection is a compilation of different articles or materials from different authors on the same topic with no single concept.
If the monograph is written by several authors, only the main authors are listed on the front page, but the remaining participants may be mentioned in other parts of the book, such as preface, table of content or the author's index.
