Introduction

The first part of the main text of the book or edition. It presents an initial chapter, which can be enumerated and entitled. The introduction helps the reader understand what is going to be in the following text. It may contain brief historical information, an outlook on different points of view, the reason for choosing the topic, and other important information.

Also, "introduction" can implicate a scientific or educational imprint that contains basic information and foundations of any science.
