Foreword

A section of a book or any other publication that may be found before the main text. The author or the editor reveals the main component and the features of the book or publication in the foreword. It provides additional information about the work and may belong to different people, such as the authors, editors, translators or publishers. If the foreword is written by the author or the editor, its authorship is indicated in the heading, as in the following: "Author’s foreword" or "Editor’s foreword".
