Author’s sheet

A unit of measuring the volume of a written manuscript, which is used to evaluate the work of authors, translators, etc. An author's sheet is equal to approximately 40,000 typographical units, including spaces. However, the number of author's sheets in the original manuscript may differ from the number of pages in the finished book, while the text may be shortened, elements of publishing work may be added, and so on.
